2 Lemon slices

Oysters are classically eaten raw. It is important that the shell of the oysters tightly closed. Slightly opened oysters should close tightly again when tapped on the shell. Oysters are best held with a cloth. Forcefully pierce a special oyster knife on the side between the shells. Open shells all around with lateral movements. Lift off the lid. Peel off the shell meat. Brush off any shell residue. Drizzle oysters with a few drops of lemon juice, if desired. Slide the mussel meat directly from the shell into the mouth and chew well.
