Kassler Potato Casserole

Kassler Potato Casserole is a simple and inexpensive recipe. Peel and slice the potatoes and put them in a pot. Cover with salt water. Bring to the boil. Simmer at medium heat for 10 minutes and drain. Preheat baking oven to 200° C. Leave small mushrooms whole. Cut leeks into rings. Let out the butter in a pan. Steam mushrooms and leeks until soft. Dice the Kassler and mix in. Season with pepper, salt and marjoram. Fold in the potatoes and pour into an ovenproof dish. Whisk eggs and milk. Season with pepper, marjoram and broth. Pour the glaze over the Kassler potato casserole. Bake Kassler Potato Casserole on the middle rack for 30 minutes.
