Arabic lentils with rice

100 g Yogurt
Ground allspice
2 Peppermint leaves
0,15 l Water
120 g Rice
2 Onions
Salt
150 g Lentils a. d. box
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Turmeric Powder
Cumin Powder

Arabic lentils with rice are served with yoghurt and fried onions. Pour rice into a pot, add water and season with a pinch of salt. Put on a lid and bring to the boil briefly. Leave rice to swell for 20 minutes at the lowest level. Cut onions into rings and sauté in 1 tablespoon oil. Reduce temperature gradually. When the onions are lightly browned, season with a little salt. Mix the lentils with the rice. Season the Arabic lentils with cumin, turmeric and a pinch of pimento. Mix the Arabic lentils with 1 tablespoon of oil and half of the onions. Season yoghurt with cumin, turmeric and salt. Arrange the Arabic lentils and yoghurt. Spread the rest of the onions over it. Use peppermint leaves for decoration.
