Kaiser Gemüse can be used in many ways. Peel carrots and cut them into slices for the typical pattern with a coloured knife. Cut flower cabbage and broccoli cabbage into small florets. Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add a strong pinch of salt. Blanch the carrots and flower cabbage florets for 2 minutes. The water should continue to bubble. Add the broccoli florets. Blanch for 1 minute. Pour the Kaiser vegetables into a sieve. Immediately rinse with cold water to interrupt the cooking process and allow the Kaiser vegetables to retain their strong colour. Afterwards Kaiser Gemüse can be tossed in butter and seasoned as a side dish as required or used for soups, stews and casseroles. Larger quantities of Kaiser Gemüse can be prepared in stock and frozen.
