2 Artichokes
2 tsp Lemon juice
2 Garlic powder
1 tsp Fleur de sel
1 tbsp Smooth parsley
2 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Balsamic vinegar

Artichokes are very easy to prepare as a small starter. Remove the lower leaves. Cut the stem to a length of 2 cm. Cut the upper third of the artichokes straight. Sprinkle the cut surfaces with lemon juice. Press garlic through the garlic press and mix with Fleur de Sel. Cut the parsley into fine strips. Mix with 1 tablespoon oil and spread between the leaves. Place the artichokes in a pot with the cut face down. Just add enough water so they don't swim. Add 1 tablespoon of oil. Place a lid on top, bring to the boil briefly and simmer at medium heat for 30 minutes. Let the artichokes cool slightly. Sprinkle with balsamic vinegar. The leaves are easy to remove. It is best to put only the thicker end of the leaves into the mouth and wipe off the flesh with your teeth. Remove the fibres in the middle of the artichoke with a spoon. The artichoke hearts and the small piece of stalk can also be eaten.
