|1,5 kg||Cured crust roast|
Back ham is particularly suitable as a party recipe, as it can be cooked in the oven without any further effort. Sauerkraut tastes very good with it. Preheat baking oven to 200° C. Carve a diamond-shaped incision into the rind. Place the baked ham on aluminium foil with the rind facing upwards. Don't season the ham. Wrap tightly in foil. Sit on a grid. Push into the oven on the middle rail. Insert a baking tray underneath if the gravy drips down. Bake bacon for 60 minutes. Open the foil on top to make the crust crispy. Bake for another 40 minutes. Every now and then brush the meat with gravy. The crust is not brushed in. Remains of ham also taste very good cold as cold cuts.
