1 Lemons
5 tbsp Water
4 tsp Sugar
1 Cinnamon stick

Apple rings can be served warm to fried liver, potato pancakes or heaven and earth. Apple rings also taste cold as a dessert with ice cream or pudding. Peel a firm apple variety and cut out the core housing. Cut the apples into thicker slices and put them in a pot. Squeeze out the juice of a lemon, mix with water and pour over the apple rings. Sprinkle with sugar, add the cinnamon stick, cover with a lid and bring to the boil briefly. Set the temperature to the lowest level and steam the apple rings for 4 to 5 minutes.
