This bread spread is a hearty topping that tastes particularly good on fresh homemade bread. Fry the bacon crispy in strips without adding fat in a coated pan. Place bacon on paper towel to drain and allow to cool. Then cut into narrow strips, as shown in the picture above. Stir double cream cheese with cream until smooth and season with pepper from the mill and chilli powder. Put some bacon and fried onions aside for decoration. Stir the remaining bacon and fried onions into the cream cheese and pour into a decorative bowl. Sprinkle the bread spread with fried onions and bacon.
