Goulash Sauerkraut Soup

Goulash Sauerkraut Soup

The goulash sauerkraut soup tastes very hot due to the addition of Piri Piri. If you don't like it so fiery, Piri Piri can also be replaced by some chili powder or a pinch of cayenne pepper. Cut pork goulash and beef goulash into slightly smaller cubes, as shown in the picture above. Cut the onion, green pepper and tomato into small cubes. Heat the oil in a soup pot and fry the goulash until it begins to brown. Add the onions and sauté. Lower the temperature to medium, add the pepper and tomato and braise briefly. Mix the sauerkraut with the goulash and mix with the tomato puree. Sprinkle with cornflour, sweat briefly and deglaze with half of the meat stock. Goulash sauerkraut soup with pepper, salt, paprika powder and Piri Piri season. Put on a lid and stew the goulash sauerkraut soup for about 45 minutes until the goulash becomes soft. Remove Piri Piri and fill the goulash sauerkraut soup with the remaining meat stock.
