BBQ Schnitzel

BBQ Schnitzel

BBQ Schnitzel can be prepared without much effort and is given a spicy note by the fresh chilli peppers. Cut one red and one yellow pepper into strips. Cut half a vegetable onion into slices. Slice the peppers lengthwise, but do not cut them, and remove the white seeds. Cut the pepperoni peppers into rings. Preheat the oven to 200°. It is best to prepare the BBQ Schnitzel in two frying pans. Heat 1 tablespoon of corn oil in each pan. Sauté the peppers, vegetables, onions and peppers in a pan. In the other pan, sauté the escalopes from both sides briefly at high temperature. Reduce the temperature to medium and fry the escalopes for about 3-4 minutes on each side, then season with pepper, salt and chilli powder. Mix the BBQ sauce with the vegetables in the pan and heat slightly. Place the schnitzel in an ovenproof dish and cover with the BBQ vegetables. Grate Emmental cheese finely with the cheese grinder and sprinkle over the BBQ schnitzel. Place the casserole dish on the middle shelf in the oven preheated to 200° C and bake the BBQ schnitzel for approx. 5 minutes until the cheese melts, as shown in the picture above. French fries go very well with it. Larger amounts of BBQ schnitzel can also be prepared on a deep baking tray.
