1 kg Green cabbage
10 g Pigs lard
1 Onions
0,125 l Vegetable broth
2 tsp Mustard
250 g Meat ends sausage
500 g Kassler Neck
400 g Potatoes

Hamburger Grün Kohl is a hearty winter meal with ground pork ends and Kassler neck. The dish is high in calories, but traditionally you eat your fill of Hamburger Grün Kohl only once a year. Pluck the leaves from the green cabbage and wash them. Pour boiling water over them until they collapse. Leave out pork lard in a large saucepan. Finely dice onion and saute until translucent. Mix in drained green cabbage. Pour in vegetable broth. To make Hamburger Grün Kohl easier to digest, season with mustard. Season with salt as needed. Add ground pork ends sausage. Place lid on top. Simmer hamburger green cabbage on medium for 45 minutes. Add kassler neck slices. Cover with hamburger green cabbage. Braise another 15 minutes. Serve with salt potatoes.
