Apple punch

Apple punch

0,125 l Apple juice
1 Cinnamon stick
2 Spice Cloves
0,5 Lime
20 g Sugar Beet Syrup
0,125 l Cider
3 cl Calvados Apple Brand
100 g Cream
0,5 tsp Cocoa powder

This apple punch is prepared with tart cider and gets its dark colour from sweetening with sugar beet syrup. Pour the apple juice into a small saucepan and season with a cinnamon stick and cloves. Wash one lime thoroughly and rub dry. For decoration, as shown in the picture above, remove two spirals from the bowl with a zestenrei├čer. Halve the lime and add juice to the apple. Bring the apple juice to the boil and dissolve 1 tablespoon of sugar beet syrup in it. Switch off the stove and fill the apple juice with tart cider so that the apple punch does not taste too sweet. Remove the spices and pour a good shot of Calvados into the apple punch. The best way to fill the apple punch is in grogg glasses or tea glasses made of glass. Whip the cream until stiff and place it on top of the apple punch as a bonnet. Shortly before serving, sprinkle the cream with a little cocoa and decorate with the spirals of the lime peel. If you like, you can also put a cinnamon stick in the apple punch for decoration.
