French fries au gratin with cheese

For French fries with cheese topping, preheat oven to 225° C. Line a baking tray with baking paper, spread the chips on top and bake for 15 minutes on the middle shelf. Season the chips with pepper and salt and sprinkle with grated cheese. Reduce the oven temperature to 180° C and bake the chips for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts. French fries with cheese gratinated taste best when served as hot as possible.
