Apple cake with plum puree

Apple cake with plum puree
Quantity Ingredient
0,5 packet Vanilla Pudding Powder
400 g Wheat Flour Type 405
1 packet Back Powder
90 g Sugar
250 g Lean curd cheese
5 tbsp Maize Germ Oil
250 g Apple compote
250 g Plum Mush
1 Egg yolk
2 tbsp Milk

Apple cake with plum puree is prepared with a simple quark oil dough. The filling consists of apple compote, plum puree and vanilla pudding. Put the vanilla pudding powder in a bowl and mix with a tablespoon of sugar. Measure 1/4 litre of milk. Pour some of the milk into the vanilla pudding powder and whisk until smooth. Pour the remaining milk into a small saucepan or saucepan and bring to the boil while stirring. Stir the mixed pudding powder into the boiling milk. To cool, pour the vanilla pudding into a bowl and place a piece of cling film directly on the pudding so that no skin forms and the vanilla pudding remains lump-free. For the quark oil dough flour in a mixing bowl and mix with baking powder. Add a pinch of salt, 90 g sugar, lean curd cheese, 0.1 litre milk and corn oil or another neutral oil and knead as short as possible to a smooth dough with the dough hook. Do not knead too long, otherwise the dough will become sticky. Finally knead the dough by hand into a ball and halve. Dust half of the dough with flour and roll it out on a floured work surface to a strip about 30 x 15 cm long. Place the dough on a baking tray covered with baking paper and preheat the oven to 200°. Alternate 1 teaspoon each of apple compote, plum puree and vanilla pudding on the dough. Dust the rest of the dough with flour and roll it out on a floured work surface to a rectangle of approx. 30 x 15 cm. It is best to measure the dough with a ruler and cut into 1 cm wide and 30 cm long strips. Place the dough strips as a grid pattern on the apple cake with plum puree, as shown in the picture above. Lightly press the protruding strips onto the lower dough and cut off. The remainders can be rolled out again and cut into strips. Place an egg yolk in a bowl and whisk with 2 tablespoons of milk. Spread the egg milk thinly with a pastry brush on the grid of apple cake with plum puree. Place the baking tray on the middle shelf in the oven preheated to 200° C and bake the apple cake with plum puree light brown for approx. 20-25 minutes. Remove the baking tray from the oven using oven cloths and place on a grid to cool. The apple cake with plum puree tastes best freshly baked, but is also juicy the next day if you cover it with cling film.
