250 g White cabbage
20 g Streaky bacon
10 g Pigs lard
0,5 tsp Sugar
0,125 l Vegetable broth
200 g Krakow sausage
2 Petit pain

Bavarian cabbage hot dog is a hearty variation of the classic hot dog. Cut the cabbage into fine strips. Dice the bacon. Heat the lard in a saucepan. Fry the bacon until crispy. Add sugar and caramelise. Add cabbage and brown lightly. Add the broth. Season Bavarian cabbage with caraway seeds and salt. Put the lid on. Stew Bavarian cabbage for 15 minutes at medium heat. Put the Krakauer in the pot. Cover with cabbage and braise for 5 minutes. Cut one Petit Pain lengthwise for each hot dog. Spread the Bavarian cabbage on the lower half of the hot dog. Krakow it. Cover with the upper half. Serve Bavarian cabbage hot dog as hot as possible. Serve with mustard if desired.
