Bagel with cheese
Quantity Ingredient
1,5 tsp Salt
1,5 tbsp Sugar
0,33 l Water
80 g Gouda cheese
500 g Wheat Flour Type 405
1 packet Dry yeast

Bagel with cheese tastes best warm from the oven. Mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Gradually knead in lukewarm water until the dough comes loose from the edge of the bowl. Cover and leave to rise for 40 minutes in a warm place. Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Form into bullets. Sprinkle the worktop with flour. Put bullets on it. Cover with a cloth. Leave to rise for 10 minutes. Use a glass 3 cm in diameter to cut a hole in the middle. Cover bagel. Let it go for 30 minutes. Boil plenty of water in a saucepan. Reduce the temperature so that the water boils only slightly. Place each bagel in the water for 30 seconds. Turning once. Use a skimmer to lift it out of the water. Drain well. Place 4 bagels each on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Preheat baking oven to 225° C. Bake each tray on the middle shelf for 20 to 25 minutes, one after the other, until the cheese melts and looks golden brown. Let bagel with cheese cool on a grid.
