For Kassler first pour water into a pot. Put the lid on. Bring to the boil. Switch the temperature to the lowest level. Put the Kassler Salmon meat into the pot. The water must not boil any more. Leave the Kassler to simmer for 30 minutes. Kassler can be served warm as a side dish with sauerkraut or cold as a cold cut. Keep the remains of the Kassler covered in the refrigerator.
