Potato Meatballs

Potato meatballs can also be prepared without bacon as a vegetarian main meal if vegetables or salad are added as a side dish. For the meatballs, boil potatoes in the skin. Rinse with cold water and peel. Pour into a bowl. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Cut onion into fine cubes. Dice bacon. Fry in a pan. Add wheat meal and onions. Add bacon, onions and eggs to the potatoes. Season with pepper, salt, finely chopped marjoram and yeast flakes. For the meatballs knead to a smooth dough. Form 6 meatballs. Turn flour in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the potato meatballs on both sides until golden brown.
