Roasted kohlrabi

Roasted kohlrabi

Fried kohlrabi tastes particularly good as a side dish with fried potatoes. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into slices about 1 cm thick. Season kohlrabi with pepper and salt. Turn the slices first in flour, then in whisked eggs and finally in breadcrumbs. Heat margarine in a coated pan. Fry the kohlrabi for approx. 3-5 minutes on a good medium heat until golden brown. Turn kohlrabi over with a spatula and fry on the other side for 3-5 minutes. Drain fried kohlrabi on kitchen paper and serve as hot as possible.
