Palmnut Soup

Palmnut Soup

450 g High rib
20 g Palm oil
1 Onions
Garlic
3 Tomatoes
120 g Palmnut Cream
0,75 l Water
1 tbsp Tomato puree
1 tsp Paprika powder
1 tsp Salt
1 Piri Piri

For the African Palmnut Soup, fresh palm nuts are used in the original recipe, but they cannot be bought in Germany. That's why I was recommended the Palmnut Cream Concentrate, which is diluted with water. You can use high rib or other beef for frying. Remove the white skin and tendons from the high rib and cut the meat into small cubes. Heat palm oil in a soup pot and fry the meat all around until it is tender. Peel onion and garlic, cut into small cubes, add to meat and fry. Cut the tomatoes into cubes and braise briefly. Stir Palmnut Cream into the meat and fill up with water. Stir in the tomato paste and season Palmnut Soup with paprika powder, salt and Piri Piri. Let Palmnut Soup simmer for about 45 minutes until the meat is tender.
