East Frisian Tea

East Frisian Tea
Quantity Ingredient
4 tsp Black East Frisian Tea
1 l Water
50 g Candy Sugar
20 g Cream

For the original East Frisian tea ceremony you need a black East Frisian tea. For each person, add 1 teaspoon tea and 1 teaspoon extra for the pot in the tea pot rinsed with hot water. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves until they are well covered. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes. Place the pot on the teapot. Then add hot water. Put the Kluntjes in the tea cup. 1 large piece is enough for normal sweetness. When you pour the tea through a tea strainer into the cup, the candy starts to crackle. Hold the cream with a cream spoon to the inner edge of the cup and let the cream run in very carefully. Do not stir! You can see the cream spreading. That's en wulkje. The first sip is creamy, then you taste the tea well and finally the sweetness. As a host, you refill the tea without being asked. If you no longer want to drink tea, signal this by placing the tea spoon in the empty cup. That's what a teaspoon is for.
