Steck beet stew

For the beet stew Steck first place bacon in a pot. Add water, onion, laurel and pepper to the grains. Put a lid on it. Bring to the boil. Cook the bacon at a low temperature for 30 minutes. Boil the salt potatoes. Peel the turnips and cut into cubes. After 30 minutes add beets and 1/2 teaspoon thyme. Cook the stew for 30 minutes. Cut the bacon into slices and keep warm. Drain the turnips. Keep the broth. Let out the margarine in a pot. Stir in the flour. Deglaze with a little broth. Continue stirring and add as much broth as necessary to make a creamy sauce. Bring to the boil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the turnips to the sauce. Cut 1 onion into slices. Steam in butter until translucent. Add the chopped parsley. Arrange onions and bacon on the stew. Potatoes are enough for the stew.
