Apple Bread

750 g Apple
300 g Sugar
250 g Sultanas
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
0,5 tsp Ground cloves
2 tsp Gingerbread Spice
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
200 g Ground hazelnuts
125 g Dried figs
500 g Wheat Flour Type 405
1 packet Back Powder

Peel apples, quarter, remove core and grate. Mix with sugar and leave to stand overnight. The next day stir the sultanas, cinnamon, clove powder, gingerbread spice, cocoa powder and ground nuts into the apple mixture. Cut dried figs into small cubes and stir in. Mix the flour with the baking powder and knead into the apple mixture. Grease a box mould (26 cm long) well and fill in the dough. Smooth the dough with floured hands and press lightly. Bake in the preheated oven at 180° - 200° for approx. 60 minutes on the middle shelf. Let the apple bread cool slightly in the tin. Loosen the edge with a knife and let the apple bread cool completely on a cake rack. Wrapped in aluminium foil, the apple bread keeps fresh for a long time in a cool place. It gets juicier the longer it rests in the aluminum foil. You can also eat it right away. Apple bread is also good for digestion.
