150 g Sour cream
190 g Wheat Flour Type 405
20 g Yeast
0,5 tsp Sugar
5 tbsp Milk
3 tbsp Oil
500 g Vegetables Onion

Baden onion cake is also called Zwibelewaie. Press a hollow into the middle of the flour. Dissolve fresh yeast with sugar in lukewarm milk. Pour into the trough. Mix with a little flour from the edge to a pre-dough. Leave to rise covered for 10 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of oil and a pinch of salt. Knead with the remaining flour. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Preheat baking oven to 200° C. Badischer Zwiebel cake is rolled out thinly on a floured work surface. Place on a tray covered with baking paper. Cut the onion into thin slices, dice the bacon and sauté in 1 tablespoon of oil. Season with pepper, salt, paprika powder and caraway seeds. Spread over the dough. Whisk egg, cream and spices. Baden onion cake is covered with glaze. Bake for 30 minutes on the middle shelf. Badischer onion cake tastes best hot.
