500 g Lyon meat sausage
2 Onions
4 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp White wine vinegar
Pepper & Salt
5 g Sugar
2 tbsp Cut leek

Bavarian sausage salad is often served with fresh pretzels in Bavaria. Lyoner Fleisch Wurst is first cut into thin slices and then into fine strips as shown in the picture above. Peel and halve onions and cut them into thin rings. Mix the onion rings and sausage strips in a salad bowl. Stir a marinade of oil and white wine vinegar. Season the marinade with plenty of freshly ground pepper, some salt and a pinch of sugar. Mix Bavarian sausage salad with the marinade. In order for the spices to develop fully, Bavarian Sausage Salad should be covered and kept in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Cut the chives into fine rolls with a sharp kitchen knife. Bavarian Sausage Salad is sprinkled with the chives just before serving.
