Almond Corners

Almond Corners

Almond corners are baked with a tender short dough crispy. Preheat baking oven to 180° C. Mix flour with a level teaspoon of baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar. Knead in egg, butter and a few drops of almond oil until the dough separates from the edge of the bowl. Knead the dough by hand until smooth. Roll out 0.5 cm thick portions on a lightly floured work surface. First cut into 6 x 7 cm long rectangles. Cut diagonally into triangles. Cover the corners of the dough with almonds. Press lightly. That's enough for two trays. Place the almond corners on the sheets lined with baking paper. Bake the trays on the middle rack for 15 minutes one after the other. Mix sugar powder with water. Coat the hot almond corners with it. Almond corners with the baking paper from the tray pull and let cool.
