Italian noodle salad

Italian noodle salad looks particularly decorative with colorful noodles in the Italian colors red, white and green. Cook the pasta and let it cool. For the salad sauce, stir mayonnaise, soured milk and tomato puree until creamy. Season with freshly ground pepper and a little salt. Mix in the cooled noodles. Halve the tomatoes, dice the mozzarella and mix both into the salad. Peel a red onion, halve lengthwise, cut into thin slices and mix in. Italian noodle salad should be well infused before serving. Pluck larger leaves of basil into small pieces. Italian noodle salad is sprinkled with basil shortly before serving so that the leaves do not wilt.
