White Onion

White Onion

White onion is a milder variety of the normal household onion. It is not so hot, but has a fine aroma. White onions are suitable for light sauces or salads. Cut into rings, white onions can also be served as bread topping with mince. It is particularly suitable for raw consumption, while it is only conditionally suitable for frying, as it lacks the spiciness that is often desired as a seasoning. You can get white onions at markets or in well-stocked supermarkets.
