Sour cream

Sour cream

Sour cream consists of fresh cream enriched with lactic acid bacteria and thickened. Usually there is sour cream with 10% fat. However, there are also exceptions where the sour cream contains up to 30% fat. These products with the higher fat content are used, for example, for seasoning sauces, as they are creamier and do not flocculate as easily as the lean types of sour cream.
