Pork schnitzel

Pork schnitzel

Pig schnitzel is generally only referred to as schnitzel. If a schnitzel comes from another animal, the designation like turkey schnitzel or calf schnitzel must be indicated. Pork escalopes are thinly sliced meat slices from the topside or nut. It is rare to find pork schnitzel cut from the back, but the meat is particularly tender. Pork escalopes are usually fried and can also be breaded.
