Lime juice

Lime juice (German) or lime juice (French) tastes slightly bitter, spicy and sour. However, it is a bit milder than lemon juice, as it contains only 6-7% lemon acid. Lime juice is not as rich in vitamin C as lemon juice. Lemons are slightly smaller but juicier than lemons and are well suited for squeezing, as the flesh does not contain seeds. The skin should be as dark green and shiny as possible so that the lime is ripe. Yellow fruits are overripe and are already drying out. Lime juice can be squeezed out well on stock and frozen in ice cube containers. This way the juice lasts up to 12 months. It gives beverages, fresh salads or fruit salads a special aroma that cannot be compared to lemon juice.
