Ground caraway seed

Ground caraway is made from dried caraway seeds. The slightly sweetish anise-like taste is not quite as intense as that of whole caraway seeds. However, children as well as adults often do not like whole caraway seeds in their food, so that you can switch to ground caraway, which is usually accepted. However, ground caraway also promotes digestion and prevents flatulence, which is why it is often used in cabbage dishes, cabbage salad or high-fat roast pork.
