Gin or juniper brandy is a brandy based on cereals or molasses and flavoured with juniper berries and other spices such as ginger, oranges or nutmeg. There are about 120 different flavours that can be used in the production of gin. The alcohol content of gin must be at least 37.5% in Germany.
