Fresh pineapple

Fresh pineapple tastes much more aromatic than canned pineapple. In order to check the quality, one should not go after whether it gives slightly under pressure. Some pineapples have become brown and bitter from the inside out. It is better to smell at the bottom of the stem. Unripe pineapple does not exude an intense fragrance. However, if the pineapple is brown inside, it smells slightly sharp and therefore unpleasant. A ripe fresh pineapple, on the other hand, has an aromatic scent.
