Dried Thyme

Dried thyme should be added to the sauce as early as possible, as it only gives off its aroma when cooked. Dried thyme has a pleasant spicy taste that goes wonderfully with mushrooms, game and Mediterranean recipes. Fish and poultry also go well with dried thyme. In terms of taste, however, dried thyme does not have such an intense aroma as fresh thyme.
