Dried pears are dried pears with a residual water content of about 20 percent. They can also be found under the name Kletzen. Dried pears are dried whole with kernels. Although dried pears have a relatively high sugar content, they taste particularly aromatic. Dried pears are suitable for baking, as fillings, but can also be eaten like baked fruit.
