Chili Flakes

Chili Flakes

Chili flakes are coarsely ground, dried, hot chili pods. They are the fruits of the Capsicum tree. Chilli flakes often also contain the seeds of the pods and are therefore particularly hot. After using the chili flakes, wash your hands well before coming into contact with the mucous membranes, otherwise it burns terribly. Chili flakes give the food a piquant spiciness. Chili flakes are used particularly frequently in Turkish, Spanish, Mexican and Indian cuisine.
