Butternut Pumpkin

Butternut pumpkin is pear-shaped and has a smooth, cream-coloured skin with light longitudinal stripes. It weighs between 200 g and 1500 g. In contrast to other pumpkin species, the Butternut pumpkin has only a thin skin, a relatively small core and a high pulp content. The flesh looks orange. Its aroma is slightly nutty. The flesh can be roasted, cooked, steamed or baked. Butternut pumpkin can be stored for up to one year.
