Brown cane sugar is an unrefined and therefore brown sugar that is extracted from sugar cane. Sugar cane is a 4 - 6 cm thick grass. The raw material for the production of brown cane sugar is obtained by pressing out the plant sap. In its pure form, cane sugar is also known as sucrose. Cane sugar is also often traded as raw sugar in the producing country.
