Almond Leaves

Almond leaves are finely sliced skinned almonds with a slightly sweet taste. They are used e.g. for sprinkling the classic butter cake. To enhance the aroma, you can dry fry the almond leaves in a pan and sprinkle them over soups, for example, or caramelise them with a little butter and sugar and use them for cakes, tarts or desserts. I have not yet succeeded in producing almond leaves myself.
