3. Cookies

When visiting the pages of www.marions-kochbuch.com, small text files (so-called "cookies") are automatically stored or read on your computer. Some of these cookies are read by www.marions-kochbuch.com itself and in part are set by other persons belonging to the Google advertising network who operate, mediate or analyze advertising. As long as these cookies are present on your computer (i.e. they have been allowed by you and have not been deleted by you or due to time lapse), they mark your computer and can be used in connection with other technical information that occurs when you call up a website,

  • to adapt the called Internet page to the settings of your computer and browser as required and to block unwanted cookies (technically necessary cookies),
  • if you allow corresponding cookies, to document the use of the called website according to criteria such as time, country, referring internet address, displayed advertising and the success of such advertising (whether this advertising was clicked and whether it was purchased from the advertiser as a result) within the Google advertising network. Such cookies come to www.marions-kochbuch.com due to the following third party services:
3.1 Google Analytics

We have Google Inc., USA, (hereinafter "Google") evaluate your visit to our website. This is done by the service "Google Analytics". For this purpose, Google places so-called "cookies" (small text files) on your computer for a certain period of time and reads these text files later, in particular to document the referring domain to www.marions-kochbuch.com and the page contents called up here with the length of stay. The information collected in this process, including the IP address assigned to your computer and automatically shortened by Google (IP anonymization is activated in Google Analytics; for further information: support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052) does not enable us to identify you personally. The information is stored directly on Google's servers, including outside the European Union. Google may pass this information on to contractual partners of the Google advertising network. You can read more about the security and data protection principles of Google Analytics here: support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245

You can also set your browser to refuse all or certain cookies from your computer and to delete cookies already received.

3.2 Cookies for marketing (Google AdSense)

We also allow third party advertisements on www.marions-kochbuch.com. This is done through the mediation of Google by the service "Google AdSense". Here too, "cookies" are used by Google and advertising service providers approved by Google. The cookies make it possible to store information about your visits on www.marions-kochbuch.com and other websites that set and read out these cookies, in order to show you user-related advertising when you visit the site. The data collected in this process is not used by Google to determine a personal reference. Google also imposes this data protection on the affiliated advertising service providers. Further information about the data collected and used by Google for advertising and how to prevent it can be found here: policies.google.com/technologies/ads

You can set your browser to refuse all or certain cookies from your computer and to delete cookies already received.

4. Google custom search engine (Google Custom Search Engine "Google CSE")

We have incorporated into our website a custom search engine provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; registered office: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) which allows you to search or find only the content of our website by entering keywords. The data resulting from your search query (including the search term entered by you in the search engine and the IP address assigned to the computer you are using at the time of the query) is transferred to Google and processed, as is the case with the general Google search engine, without our having any influence on it. The "cookies" described above (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) can also be used for this purpose.

The privacy policy of Google applies: policies.google.com/privacy

If you use the search engine and are logged in to your existing Google account, it is possible for Google to link the data record of your search query collected by the Google search engine with your personal data of your Google account. You can prevent this possibility by being logged out of your Google Account when using the Google search engine integrated here.
