German bockwurst sausage is a kind of large Frankfurter. Slice the Bockwurst and put in a bowl. Peel and finely dice onion. Add to the bockwurst slices and mix. Rinse the tomatoes and dice; mix into the bockwurst salad. Make a dressing from corn oil and white wine vinegar. Stir in grainy mustard and season with freshly ground pepper. Usually salt is not necessary because of the mustard. Finely cut chives and mix with the dressing. Pour the dressing over the bockwurst salad and let stand for 30 minutes. Serve with fresh baguette or Laugenstangen - special bread sticks made from pretzel dough.
